Eischoll, Heimat der Lichtblume - Alljährlich in der Zeit von Februar bis Ende April erblüht auf den Wiesen und Weiden von Eischoll die Lichtblume. Dieses seltene Blütenkind ist in der Schweiz nur im Oberwallis und zwar noch zusätzlich in den Bergwiesen von Ausserberg, Unterbäch und Visperterminen zu finden. Oft wird die Lichtblume für ein Krokus gehalten, denn nur Eingeweihte wissen genau Bescheid um diese Rarität aus der Pflanzenwelt. Die Lichtblume ist in unserer Gegend ein besonderes Sinnbild für den Alpenfrühling. Wenige Sonnentage genügen, um sie zum Blühen zu bringen. Die Blütezeit setzt ein, bevor die mittlere Tagestemperatur 10 Grad erreicht. Ein rauhes Gebirgsklima und von Schmelzwasser durchnässte Frühlingswiesen und- weiden stellen die besten Bedingungen für die Entwicklung dieses Frühlingsboten. In verschwenderischer Weise werden die Fluren und Alpweiden in ein einzige Lichtermeer getaucht.

His daughter, Patricia, opened a branch office in Schönried in 1981 and continued to run it for 10 years. At the end of the 1980s the firm was converted into a family-owned limited company.
