Maneki Neko
Description: Maneki-neko est un terme japonais signifiant chat bonheur. Il d?signe une statue traditionnelle japonaise en c?ramique repr?sentant un chat assis et levant la patte au niveau de l'oreille, et que l'on trouve fr?quemment sur les devantures des magasins (ou pr?s des caisses dans les centres commerciaux).
Maneki vient du verbe maneku qui en japonais signifie, inviter (dans le sens de faire venir) ou saluer. "Neko" est le chat. Il s'agit donc litt?ralement du ? chat qui invite ?. La tradition veut qu'on mette un de ces chats levant la patte dans les magasins pour attirer la fortune (p?cuniaire). La patte lev?e varie selon que le chat est suppos? attirer le client ou le faire d?penser plus d'argent dans le magasin. Il existe ainsi des chats levant les deux pattes. On retrouve souvent des manekineko dans les foyers, notamment sous forme de tirelires (la patte lev?e est alors la droite).
